About the BSN:
The British School in the Netherlands is arranged into four separate campuses. The Senior School Voorschoten is a large, modern and very well-equipped campus in Voorschoten, which serves international students as well as local students from the surrounding area.
Our senior school is situated in the town of Voorschoten, between the Hague and Leiden with excellent public transport, motorway and bicycle connections from the surrounding areas - 10 minutes by train to the centre of the Hague. The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SLCN specialist to join our friendly and well-established Additional Educational Needs (AEN) team at Senior School Voorschoten, one of four BSN campuses in and around The Hague.
In this role, you will:
Lead on all aspects of SLCN provision within the senior school
Assess and analyse students' needs, primarily aged 11–18
Plan and deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
Collaborate with Teachers and Learning Support Assistants to develop effective classroom strategies
Play a key role in raising awareness and building staff confidence in supporting SLCN
This is a varied and fulfilling position, combining professional autonomy with close team collaboration. You will see firsthand how your expertise positively shapes student outcomes.
The Candidate:
You are:
A qualified professional with a specialist qualification in SLCN
Skilled in assessing and supporting students with a range of SLCN, including Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD
Experienced in educational settings, with insight into the impact of SLCN on learning and classroom dynamics
A confident communicator who builds strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Calm, approachable, and proactive — able to adapt your practice to meet the diverse needs of learners
Ideally experienced in supporting students who have English as an additional language (EAL)

Salary ranging from € 3,750 to € 4,880 gross per month (incl. holiday allowance).
