Office Administrator - Maternity Cover
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Administrator to join our friendly office team at the British School in the Netherlands, Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) Campus.
This is a part-time position to cover for maternity leave. The working days are Monday, Tuesday , Thursday (full day) and Wednesday, Friday (mornings), a total of 28 hours per week. The duration of this post is approximately 8 months.
This role supports our vibrant international community, providing a helpful, friendly and professional interface between the school and its visitors, along with a wide range of administrative support to keep the school running as smoothly as possible.
The School:
The British School in the Netherlands is arranged into four separate campuses. The Senior School Leidschenveen is a modern and very well-equipped campus, which serves international students as well as local students from the surrounding area. The campus is next to the Hague, with excellent public transport, motorway and bicycle connections.

Responsibilities:
Data entry, reporting and administration relating to student attendance and records;
Welcoming visitors to the school and dealing with their enquiries;
Liaising with school colleagues, students and their parents/guardians;
Managing email, postal and telephone enquiries;
Preparing school documents and certificates;
Arranging transport for school trips;
Scheduling appointments for parent/teacher evenings.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of administrator/receptionist experience. Work in a school environment would be considered an advantage;
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook). A knowledge of SIMS or other data management information systems is desirable.
Customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential;
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure;
Independently motivated and organized with attention to detail;
Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
