The British School in The Netherlands is looking to appoint a part- time (0.6 FTE) Health Care Officer to join our Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) campus.

The Role

The Health and Wellbeing Team at SSV consists of Health Care Officers and School Counsellors, all working closely with the Heads of Year to provide comprehensive health and pastoral support.

The Health Care Officer will support over 600 students aged 11-18, providing:

  • First aid

  • Holistic support

  • Care planning

  • Trip medical risk assessments

  • Multidisciplinary liaison

As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of students and helping them thrive in a safe and healthy school environment.

The Candidate

We are looking for applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • A current Nursing qualification from a recognised governing body, with regular re-registration linked to ongoing professional development.

  • Ideally, recent experience working with teenagers and providing first aid.

  • A commitment to actively contributing to the promotion of a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

  • A strong focus on providing holistic health support to students, including care planning, risk assessments, and multidisciplinary liaison.
