Docent Nederlands - Teacher of Dutch
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of Dutch to join our Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) campus at The British School in the Netherlands (BSN).
In this role, you will teach Dutch to a diverse group of students ranging from absolute beginners to those studying IB Language A (Language and Literature) and other qualifications such as CNaVT. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the department while fostering a love for language learning.

Teach Dutch to students at various proficiency levels, from beginner to near-native or native speakers.
Prepare students for qualifications including CNaVT and IB Dutch Language B (Standard and Higher Levels) and Language A (Language and Literature).
Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students in an international school environment.
Integrate educational technology (EdTech) into teaching and enhance digital learning experiences.
Participate fully in the development and collaborative culture of the Modern Foreign Languages Department.
Contribute to the running of extracurricular activities and promote a lifelong love for language learning.
Recognized teaching qualification and experience teaching Dutch, either as a foreign language or a native language (ideally both).
Experience preparing students for qualifications such as CNaVT or IB programs (desirable but not essential).
Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit a multicultural and international environment.
Confidence in using educational technology (training provided if necessary).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.

We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste en gekwalificeerde docent Nederlands om het team van de Senior School Voorschoten (SSV), onderdeel van The British School in the Netherlands (BSN), te versterken.

Buitenschoolse activiteiten ondersteunen en een levenslange liefde voor taal leren stimuleren.
We zoeken een kandidaat die:
Een erkende onderwijsbevoegdheid heeft en ervaring met het lesgeven in Nederlands, zowel als vreemde taal als moedertaal (bij voorkeur beide).
Ervaring heeft met het voorbereiden van leerlingen op examens zoals CNaVT of IB-programma’s (pre, maar niet verplicht).
Flexibel is en zijn/haar aanpak kan aanpassen aan een internationale schoolomgeving.
Vaardig is in het gebruik van onderwijstechnologie (training kan worden aangeboden indien nodig).
Over sterke communicatieve en interpersoonlijke vaardigheden beschikt en leerlingen weet te inspireren en motiveren.
