Learning Support Assistant


We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our large, dedicated and enthusiastic learning support team at our Senior School in Voorschoten, just outside of The Hague. In this role, you will support students with Additional Educational Needs throughout the school day, both in class and in one to one withdrawal sessions, so that the student has full access to the British and International Curriculum offered at BSN.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Excellent, clear levels of spoken and written English; good communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a variety of audiences
  • An ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as being able to contribute as part of a large team; you'll be keen to get involved with extra-curricular activities and the school’s wider community
  • Strong planning, organisation and record-keeping skills; experience with a range of ICT applications, such as Outlook and Excel
  • A flexible approach to their work, a good sense of humour and positive response to change
  • A good knowledge of the National Curriculum

  • Experience working with children and young people aged 11-18

You will have proven experience of successfully supporting students with social communication and interaction needs. When completing your Covering Letter, please give examples from your past work history that explain how you have supported students with additional needs.
