Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) is the newest campus of the BSN. The school opened in September 2018 with its first cohort of Year 7 students, arranged into two form groups. 

 In September 2019, the school will move into the first phase of the new building, which will house our two year groups (Yrs7 & 8) of approximately 100 students. We are looking for a 04.FTE (2 days per week, term-time only) DT/Art Technician to join our SSL team. 

As a technician you will help in the organisation and preparation of a safe and stimulating learning environment, as well as help to support the development of our students’ knowledge and skills in DT and Art.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of students

• Preparation of resources for teaching staff prior to lessons

• Undertake routine maintenance of resources/machines

• Supervise students use on specific tasks as requested by teaching staff

• Maintain storage areas within DT and Art

• Monitor and maintain stock levels of required components and resources

• Clear away resources in classroom

• Maintain clean and tidy workshop areas

• Be aware of, and implement, H&S responsibilities including reviewing and planning

• Assist with reprographics

Previous experience of maintaining and operating DT machinery e.g. 3D printers, laser cutters, CAM would be seen as an advantage.
